SBS Event 2024
On Friday 23rd February 2024, I travelled to the ICC in Birmingham with my husband for #SBSEvent2024. It was a fabulous event, organised by retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis for his SBS winners. This year, the fireside chat was between Theo and small business supporter Stacey Solomon.
Theo interviewed Stacey about her career journey and small business investments. It was really interesting to hear, that she didn’t describe herself as an entrepreneur. However, she has ranges with Primark, In The Style, George Asda and this year, became an official business partner to female founded haircare brand Rehab.
At the end of the interview and a Q&A session, Stacey came down from the stage and we had the chance to gift her something from our business. I took this opportunity to give her one of my personalised family tree slices.
Solomon - Swash Family Tree
I made a personalised family tree, hand burnt with Stacey and Joe’s children and pets. I also included the name of their pet dog Theo who had passed away, as I knew how special he was to the whole family. When I gave the gift, she said ‘Aww Theo’, seeing his name. I wasn’t able to have a long conversation with Stacey, but seeing her reaction to the Family Tree, I knew she liked it.

After the event, myself and my husband grabbed a quick bite to eat and then made the trip back up North to Yorkshire. I was absolutely buzzing to have met Stacey and gift her one of my favourite products I make. I was even more buzzing when she started to follow me on Instagram!
